European Mixer with Exclusive Cannes Lions Media Panel

In collaboration with European Chambers, our Media Committee hosted a European networking event at The New Mart in Downtown Los Angeles, featuring an exclusive panel discussion reflecting on key takeaways from Cannes Lions 2025. The event brought together senior executives and industry leaders from across media, advertising, and adtech to explore emerging trends shaping the future of global communications and branded content.

The session combined high-level networking with a curated discussion on the evolving media landscape, with a particular focus on the impact of artificial intelligence, shifting consumer expectations, and new creative paradigms emerging across the industry.

The panel featured:

  • Vincent Cevalte, MBA, VP of Global Digital & Planning, RTL AdAlliance
  • Ben Moore, US Managing Director, BeReal.
  • Lindsey Scheftic, Fractional CMO and former CMO of Amazon Ring

The discussion explored how insights from Cannes Lions 2025 reflect broader structural changes in media and advertising, particularly the acceleration of AI adoption across creative, planning, and distribution workflows. Panelists shared perspectives from agency, publisher, advertiser, and adtech viewpoints, offering a comprehensive view of how the industry is adapting to rapid technological and cultural shifts.

Key themes included the rise of younger creatives as early adopters of AI-driven tools, not as replacements for human creativity but as amplifiers of ideation, production, and storytelling capabilities. The panel also emphasized that while AI is reshaping production processes, authenticity and genuine human connection remain central to effective communication, with audiences increasingly able to distinguish between synthetic and human-driven content.

Another recurring topic was the evolution of Cannes Lions itself, which panelists described as transitioning from a traditional celebration of advertising creativity into a strategic forum for understanding and navigating disruption in media. In this context, the industry is increasingly focused on balancing automation and data-driven optimization with human-first storytelling principles.

Throughout the discussion, speakers highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration and ecosystem thinking, noting the value of bringing together agencies, publishers, advertisers, and adtech innovators to better understand the interconnected nature of modern media systems.

The event concluded with a networking session, reinforcing the importance of transatlantic dialogue and community-building among media professionals in an era of rapid transformation.
