Loft Selected as a Prime Contractor for France’s First Space-Based Radar Imaging Program

We’re excited to announce that Loft has been selected by Centre National d'Études Spatiales and the DGA - Direction générale de l'armement to lead the execution of the DESIR program to provide France with its first space-based SAR imaging capability.

A long-standing technological partner of the DGA, Loft will be leading a consortium that includes Thales Alenia Space and TEKEVER France to build out sovereign space capabilities structured around Loft’s proven space infrastructure as a service model.

Loft’s infrastructure has been developed to fly almost any payload on any platform, deployed on any cloud. We are demonstrating a new, agile way of developing sovereign space capabilities where speed, execution, and operational maturity matter.

The project represents Loft’s continued expansion in Europe, helping to preserve and develop critical space expertise to efficiently meet the requirements of a rapidly changing world.
